Tar Kan
Tar Kan meaning "last hope" is the leader of the Grey Wind tabaxi clan and is around 90 years of age (including his legendary reincarnation). He is described as stoic and rarely laughs. Though it is said he was called Shymshar in his past life and was very playful and open. Tar Kan was responsible for the Tabaxi rebellion against the Wilnistrian Confederacy. Though the rebellion failed, he did manage to liberate many Tabaxi (and other people) from Wilnistrian rule. It is said he died fighting the Wilnistrians after leading a brilliant fighting retreat while hopelessly outnumbered for 3 days and nights, buying time for thousands of his people and allies to escape. The shamans of the Grey Wind Tabaxi, knowing that all would be lost without Tar Kan (then Shymshar), gave their lives in a ritual that would reincarnate him. He now leads the same brilliant war of resistance against the Wilnistrians he did before. His allies include Ro-Bro, a tabaxi archer that Tar Kan knew in his past life. Ro-Bro suffered a severe head injury in the final battle of the old tabaxi rebellion but is Tar Kan's emotional support. - Jack
